The Tucson International Modelplex Park Association, Inc. (TIMPA), is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation formed by members of several Tucson area radio control aeromodeling clubs and interested citizens. TIMPA's mission was to develop a comprehensive plan to present to city and county governments for the establishment of a permanent radio control park facility that could be used by all the area clubs for large competitive events and expositions and to be open for daily use by the general modeling public.

The requests for Greyhound flights grew and Wings for Greyhounds was incorporated as a non-profit entity. This enabled us to better assist the various Greyhound rescue and adoption agencies asking for our help with a more reliable and dependable transportation service. Our air service is faster than road travel, we can fly "on demand", and the journey by air is much shorter and less stressful on the animals.

SARA is a National Association of Rocketry (NAR) section formed in 1994 for those in southern Arizona (e.g. Tucson and the rest of the state south of the Gila River). In October of 2005 SARA also became Tripoli prefecture. Our goal is to promote model and high power rocketry, educate ourselves and the public, and to have fun. We have members with a wide range of interests and skill levels. Some are beginners building their first model rockets and several are participating in high power rocketry (HPR).
